We put it through the wringer

The revolutionary Condense energy modeling system took many years to develop, and has been extensively tested through real projects for consulting clients, as well as through controlled testing against theoretical Energy Plus models. To learn more about how we built it, click here. Below are summaries of energy modeling case studies across a range of conditions. These case studies prove out the accuracy of the Condense platform, and also include a practical walk-through of how using Condense differs from the status quo methods.

Large Centralized HVAC
We tested a large office building with a centralized water cooled chiller. The margin of error of the Condense model versus a traditional full-building Energy Plus model ranged from 0.6% for a hot-humid climate to 1.5% for a cold-dry climate. To read this case study, click here.

Multifamily with Complex Envelope
We tested a multifamily apartment complex that includes a clubhouse with light commercial spaces. The buildings have complex exterior walls that jog in and out. The Condense energy results varied from traditional modeling results by only 0.1% to 0.6% (depending on location). To read this case study, click here.

Existing Building Auditing
This case study focuses on Condense auditing process compared to traditional existing building auditing. To read this case study, click here.

Contrasting Zones
This case study examines how Condense performs when a building contains a high load zone adjacent to low load zones. What about heat transfer between zones? To read this case study, click here.
